TORONTO, August 28, 2012 - Mon Sheong Richmond Hill Long-Term Care Centre will be hosting a seminar on “Advance Planning” on Thursday, September 13 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The seminar will be conducted by Sunny Ho, an experienced lawyer, and Tammy Pak, Senior Manager of Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, in Cantonese and Putonghua. Topics include how to plan in advance and prepare for the last celebration of life. Admission is free, and all individuals are welcome. Registration is required as space is limited.
We all wish to make decisions for our personal care and medical treatments, but an illness or accident may make us unable to do so. It is important to take steps now, while we are capable, to ensure that our wishes guide the decisions. We need to make clear how we wish to be cared for, and give someone we trust the authority to act on those wishes for us, if the need arises. Planning in advance will help reduce such worries.
