With the growth of Mon Sheong and the limited funding of being a charitable organization, Mon Sheong needs a strong volunteer support team to provide different kinds of volunteer services. In order to recruit more volunteers and retain the existing team, a Core Group is established at each Long Term Care Centre. The Core Group helps Mon Sheong to achieve its mission stated above.

The Core Group is made up of at least 5 committed volunteer leaders. The roles can include:-

-- Volunteer Management

-- Outreach

-- Secretary

-- Training and Development

-- Recreation

To work closely with the Volunteer Department in:

-- Administration: preparing minutes, tracking volunteer hours, documents preparation, others such as personal tax returns

-- External relationship: Recruitment and interviewing, fundraising, liaison with other LTC.

-- Internal relationship: Reception, tour, orientation and communication with other volunteers such as feedback from the new volunteers.
