Toronto, ON, October 10, 2018 – Mon Sheong Foundation’s 27th annual Cathay Ball will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The theme “Splendours of Argentina” was announced today. Mon Sheong is bringing their guests on an enchanting journey through Argentina’s breathtaking landscapes, sumptuous food and sensual culture. All proceeds will go towards Mon Sheong Foundation’s charitable programs and services.
This year’s theme pushed the imagination of Co-chairs, Garth Low, First Vice Chairman of Mon Sheong Foundation, and David Cheng, Vice President of Mon Sheong Foundation. To create an Argentine environment, the organizing committee will bring the unique beauty of Argentina’s landscape and the vibrant buildings of La Boca to this year’s Cathay Ball. Providing ample opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in Argentina’s unique landscape, Mon Sheong will be providing various photo booths for guests to take pictures. “With beautiful landscapes, colourful La Boca, and sensual Tango, we are bringing Argentina to our guests.” Low said, “We’ve specially invited internationally renowned Argentine Tango dancers, Bryant Lopez and Faye Lopez to perform this year. CarryOn Band and RSDivas Creative will also be putting on a spectacular show for us again.”

Cathay Ball always features elegant and enticing items in their Silent Auction. Not only will there be plenty of things to bid on, ranging from stunning jewellery to fine wine to culinary experiences, but Yorkdale Shopping Centre is also hosting a Mini Yorkdale, sure to be attractive to guests. The Co-chairs announced a Best Dressed award and a Best Dressed – Themed award for this year’s gala. Judges are sure to be impressed by the glamorous ladies and dapper gentlemen in attendance. For the first time, Salvatore Ferragamo will be the gala’s VIP Reception Sponsor, hosting an in-store VIP Reception in appreciation of Cathay Ball’s top sponsors and Mon Sheong donors at their Yorkdale location.
