Richmond Hill, ON, April 27, 2018 –  This morning, the Honourable Dr. Reza Moridi, Minister of Research, Innovation and Science, at Richmond Hill Mon Sheong Long-Term Care Centre, announced that the Ontario government is creating 636 new long-term care beds in York Region, of which 320 will be assigned to Mon Sheong Foundation. This is an excellent kick off for Mon Sheong’s 10-Year Development Plan for Senior Care Services.

With the approval of more long-term care beds, Mon Sheong is eager to put their 10-Year Development Plan into action. With the growing population of seniors in the community, it is imperative for Mon Sheong to start the process as soon as possible. York Region’s senior population is steadily growing, so Mon Sheong’s announcement that they plan to build a new long-term care facility in the Town of Stouffville is welcome news.
