Grow With Mon Sheong – 60th Anniversary

Like trees, our organization is ingrained in our heritage and culture, nourished by the support from the community. The anchor theme of our 60th Anniversary is GROWTH, represented by a deep-rooted tree in our 60th anniversary logo. It highlights the collaborative spirit that has fueled our progress.

Join us as we commemorate six decades of compassion, dedication, and growth. We invite the community to grow with Mon Sheong, to help us continue to grow, providing more services to the people in need, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the elderly, the young, and everyone in between.

Mon Sheong Foundation

Founded in Toronto in 1964 as a charitable organization to promote Chinese culture and heritage through caring for the elderly and nurturing the young, Mon Sheong Foundation provides programs and services to the elderly and to the young in response to the needs of Canada’s culturally diverse communities.

About Us

Mon Sheong Foundation is Canada’s first registered charity specializing in the Chinese community. We are dedicated to the promotion of Chinese culture, heritage, language, and philosophy by caring for the elderly, encouraging the young, and providing programs and services to meet the needs of our communities.

Taking our name from Lord Mengchang, a man of legendary generosity who lived in China around 300 BC, we have been proudly serving the Greater Toronto Area since 1964. Throughout our history, we have constantly introduced new initiatives to fulfill our mission, and today we are home to four long-term care centres, an adult day program, three Chinese school campuses, a youth group, two community and volunteer services centres, three independent living senior apartments, and private care, and charity care units.

We cannot accomplish our work without your support, so please partner with us as we continue “Sharing and Caring with You by Our Side”.
