Annual Community Christmas Party
The 48th Annual Community Christmas Party will take place on Sunday December 1, 2019. Every year, 250 seniors in Toronto’s Chinatown community gather at the Mon Sheong Home for the Aged to share the joy of the festive season. Guests will be served a turkey lunch, enjoy performances and lucky draws, and bring home fabulous gifts.
We are looking for 35 volunteers who will be responsible to set up the dining area, usher guests in, provide table service to 250 seniors, cleanup, and other duties as assigned.
Date: Sunday December 1, 2019
Location: Mon Sheong Home for the Aged (36 D’Arcy Street, Toronto, ON M5T 1J7)
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Assist program
- Venue set up & clean up
- Escort participants
- Provide table service
- Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin preferred
- Good communication skills
- Stand and walk for the duration of your shift
There will be light refreshment in the morning. Lunch will be provided to volunteers after the program (around 3:00 pm). Please dress comfortable and bring warm clothing if you were assigned outside duties.
