60th Anniversary Celebration Book
To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the first Chinese registered charity in Canada, the Mon Sheong Foundation, a Celebration book with treasurable information and photos documenting the Foundation’s growth from the past decades were published. The “60th Anniversary Celebration Book” outlines the developing history of Mon Sheong which is closely related to the Chinese’s struggle in Canada.
Cathay Ball: Diamond Celebration – Shining 60 Years and Beyond
Thank you all for a truly amazing Cathay Ball 2024. Supported by the generosity of sponsors and donors, our Diamond Celebration on November 2 welcomed 1,000 guests, including government dignitaries, business representatives and community leaders. Proceeds from the gala are instrumental to supporting our “Because We Care” capital campaign for the construction of new Long-Term Care Centres.

60th Anniversary Photo Exhibition
We are celebrating our 60th anniversary with a special “Mon Sheong Foundation 60th Anniversary Photo Exhibition,” sharing precious historical moments and significant milestones with the public. The exhibition will also feature the commemorative publication “60 Years of Sharing and Caring,” providing insight into Mon Sheong’s history and development of the Toronto Chinese community.
This photo exhibition was held from August 23 to September 3 on the 3rd floor of the Richmond Hill Public Library, Central Branch. Thank you everyone for visiting!
60th Anniversary Walk & Fun
Mon Sheong 60th Anniversary Walk & Fun was successfully held on June 15th, bringing together over 2,000 participants in a joyful and lively event. We have raised over $220,000 as of today, all proceeds will support building our two new long-term care centres in Markham and Stouffville.

Government dignitaries, donors and representatives of corporates gathered last Wednesday to kick off Mon Sheong’s 60th anniversary celebrations. The atmosphere was festive and lively as we launched into a series of celebratory events.

From a humble beginning in 1964, we have grown and achieved significant milestones. We take pride in our achievements thus far and look ahead with enthusiasm to the new projects and initiatives on the horizon.
Like trees, our organization is ingrained in our heritage and culture, nourished by the support from the community. The anchor theme of our 60th Anniversary is GROWTH, represented by a deep-rooted tree in our 60th anniversary logo. It highlights the collaborative spirit that has fueled our progress.
