Position Summary

The incumbent will report to the Manager, Private Care and be responsible for providing administrative and receptionist support within the division.

Main Duties

  • Perform office administrative duties including but not limited to data entry, filing, sorting, and photocopying;
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide tours to prospective clients;
  • Prepare notices regarding events, holiday closures, building maintenances, disruptions, etc.;
  • Schedule and make appropriate arrangements for appointments, meetings, and training sessions;
  • Actively participate during meetings, trainings, and information sessions;
  • Follow Health and Safety policies and procedures when performing regular work, taking extra precaution when handling chemicals;
  • Communicate with Nursing Stations regarding patients’ documents, inquiries, updates, etc.;
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in progress in Business Administration program or related field;
  • Customer Service experience is an asset;
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and cohesively in a team setting;
  • Intermediate computer skills and working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher;
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and English, both oral and written is preferred;
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an asset.

Other Requirements:

All summer student positions are funded to promote employment opportunities for students. The position and duration of it are based on funding approval. To be eligible for the program, job applicants should meet the following criteria:

  1. Is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
  2. Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act* and;
  3. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant or territorial legislation and regulations.
