Position Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for conducting a wide variety of duties in support of the Communications and Marketing team. Specifically, the incumbent will help to enhance Mon Sheong’s brand image by focusing on initiatives related to graphic design and digital marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in communication with schools and students on application of Mon Sheong Golden Jubilee Scholarship;
  • Assist in content creation and updates of Mon Sheong social media;
  • Provide website support to team members and departments;
  • Design a wide variety of materials including event collaterals, posters, flyers, newsletters, print advertisements, e-blasts, website and social media graphics;
  • Assist in organization and implementation of press conferences, visits and events;
  • Responsible for general filing and correspondence;
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrolment in a Marketing degree, diploma, or certificate program in a recognized University or College;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms;
  • Strong interpersonal, as well as oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated time management skills and organizational abilities;
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is preferred.

Other Requirements:

All summer student positions are funded to promote employment opportunities for students. The position and duration of it are based on funding approval. To be eligible for the program, job applicants should meet the following criteria:

  1. Is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
  2. Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act* and;
  3. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant or territorial legislation and regulations.
