Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Resident Care, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support to the nursing department and assisting nursing staff with providing safe personal care.

Main Duties:

  • Assist with feeding residents during breakfast and lunch times;
  • Participate in the Quality Management Program through data collection and analysis;
  • Conduct research on various current health topics and assist with the coordination of educational presentations;
  • Organize the Staff Resource Centre by rearranging and updating educational materials;
  • Update inventory list as directed;
  • Provide administrative support such as recording minutes, creating forms in both English and Chinese, etc.;
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrolment in a post-secondary Nursing or other health care related program in a recognized University/College;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Career-related work experience;
  • Experience working with seniors an asset;
  • Proficient in English and Chinese is preferred.

Other Requirements:
