
Position Title: Teacher 教師

- Mathematics 數學
Position Summary:
Teach in appropriate subjects and classes at Mon Sheong’s Chinese School campuses; implement program and curricula to maximize students’ learning experience.
Main Duties:
- Teach the grade/level as assigned by the School; teach lessons according to curriculum materials.
- Instruct students using various teaching methods.
- Deliver the program according to the teaching plan approved by Principal.
- Attend teacher’s meeting, seminar and assist in school events.
- Maintain attendance records, and contact students’ parents in the situation that student has been absent for 2 consecutive weeks.
- Assign homework, as well as mark, review and return all work submitted by students within a week or two.
- Administer tests to evaluate students’ progress, records results and issues reports to inform parents of students’ progress.
- Meet with parents to discuss student progress and problems when required.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Teachers’ College Diploma or equivalent;
- ECE Diploma is an asset;
- Previous teaching experience, preferably within Ontario;
- Good command of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills;
- First Aid and CPR Certification an asset;
Working Hours
- Part time hours from September to June; classes are to be held on Wednesday, Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
